Camp Reflections
Over the last two weeks, all of our classes from Grade 3–6 have enjoyed wonderful camp experiences. The Garde 3/4 students spent two nights in Warrnambool, while the Year 5/6 students had two nights at Kangaroobie in the Otways. Our Grade 1/2 classes also enjoyed some time down on the coast. We were blessed with great weather, allowing students to make the most of the wide range of camp activities on offer, despite the Grade 5/6 group having to return early on the final day. Camps are a valuable part of our program, providing children with new experiences as well as opportunities to build resilience and strengthen relationships. These camps wouldn’t be possible without the support of our dedicated staff and generous parent volunteers. Thank you to everyone who gave their time to help ensure our students had such a positive and memorable experience. We also thank parents for supporting both their child and our staff in embracing our camp recovery days. These days worked exactly as we had hoped, and we plan to include them again in next year’s program. Over the next week, we will be reviewing how the camps went and evaluating our camping program to make sure the experiences we offer continue to meet the needs of our students. We welcome any feedback from parents. Please feel free to share your thoughts with your child’s classroom teacher.
