Zone Golf Trials

Zone Golf trials are being held on Monday August 4. If your child is a competitive player, plays in regular competitions, has an AGU Handicap or Jack Newton Foundation Handicap and a Golflink number, they will be eligible to try out. 

If you feel your child is eligible to try out, please email Ms Holstein at rani.holstein@det.nsw.edu.au to be provided with further information about the day and relevant permission notes.  

Congratulations to Rayan A. for Making It Into Area Trials for Soccer

How did it feel to make it to area, that's the question I will be answering today. When I made it to zone I felt great a feeling of joy surrounded me but at the same time I was a bit nervous, you see last year I made it to zone but I failed to make it past zone into area so there was a little bit of doubt in my mind that I was going to fail again. The days leading up to my make up trial were pretty nerve wrecking but I kept calm, when my make up trial came around I was excited and nervous but I did not let the nerves get the better of me I remained calm and aced the make up trail, there was only four people at that trial and two made it I was one of them. The next Saturday I was at the real zone trails where I saw there were 27 great footballers all competing for the same thing area selection, the competition was pretty stiff cause out of 27 great footballers only 12 were making it, then after an hour of a full pitch game they called out the people who had made it and my name was called out! I was so happy. I hope I can continue my journey and make it past the state trials this coming Tuesday. I would like to thank my PSSA teammates for supporting me and being the best version of themselves they can be out on the football pitch, I would also like to thank the teachers for supporting me throughout this journey and last but definitely not least Mr Pi, we have gone through a lot together from winning PSSA together last year to receiving our winners patches together last year, thank you for being the best coach there is.
