ICAS

We would like to inform you about the upcoming International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS) assessments for this year. The schedule is as follows:

Tuesday 12th August 

• English Assessment
  • Year 2 and 3: 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM
  • Year 4, 5, and 6: 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM

Monday 25th August 

• Mathematics Assessment
  • Year 2 and 3: 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM
  • Year 4, 5, and 6: 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM

The assessments will be held in the Performing Arts Building, and each student will be provided with a device (iPad or Chromebook) for the test.

Please be aware that ICAS has specific testing windows: English assessments are from August 11 to 15, and Mathematics assessments are from August 25 to 29. If your child is absent or arrives late, we will make every effort to accommodate them within these windows.

CAT

Computational and Algorithmic Thinking Competition  

Congratulations to the 36 students from Years 5 and 6 who competed in the Computational and Algorithmic Thinking Competition earlier in Term 2. It is a problem solving event that encourages students to develop thinking skills. Through the challenge students learn to break problems into smaller parts, recognise patterns, plan and test possible solutions and think critically and creatively.
