St Mary of the Cross Mackillop:

                                                             Feast Day – August 8th.

This week we celebrate the feast day of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop.

Her dedication and service in Christ’s name has left an indelible mark

                                                 on our Australian landscape.

She sacrificed much so the poor could be fed, educated and nurtured.

Her discipleship reflects what is possible in Jesus’ name.

Let us give thanks for this amazing woman of God.

Mary’s dedicated service across the Australian landscape left an exceptional

legacy that is still alive and well today.

Thousands of women have answered the call to follow in Mary’s footsteps.

The Josephite Sisters continue to serve with Jesus and Mary MacKillop at their heart.

They continue to serve to bring fullness of life to those in need.

Let us give thanks for all Josephite Sisters who serve in our world today.
