Principal's Message

Dear Parents,
You will receive information shortly through our communication policy outlining the different ways to communicate with the school. Our goal is to provide families with clear ways to communicate with staff and to make sure the relevant staff member receives your email. Communication with a member of leadership, including myself, can be done through the school email account mooroolbark.east.ps@education.vic.gov.au. The school email account is regularly monitored by the school administration team and will be passed on to the relevant member of leadership who will then assist you.
Our 2025 School Captains have been invited to contribute below to our last newsletter for Term 2.
I hope you all have a lovely Term 2 break and I look forward to the start of Term 3 at MEPS on Monday 21 July.

SCHOOL CAPTAINS' REPORT ON TERM 2
Hi everyone,
We are Lexi, Olivia, Henley and Zoe and as you know we are the 2025 M.E.P.S School Captains.
We are here to give you a recap and wrap up of Term Two.
First, in Prep land the Preps got off to a great start to Term 2 with their first school swimming week.
Also, the Preps had a fun excursion to Legoland using their wild imaginations and building Lego.
In Grade 1 they had a fun stroll around Hookey Park, venturing and learning about our local area. The Mooroolbark Meander was a fun trip out with their friends and teacher/parent helpers. Everyone had a great time.
In Grade 2 they went to Mont De Lancey for a day of exploring and history alongside a very fun science incursion where they got to make Sherbet.
Earlier in the Term students from Grades 3 to 6 performed in the MEPS mini concert. Grade 4S and 5BT also performed.
This term Prep to Grade 6 had fun with 3 weeks of gymnastics in PE.
In Grade 4 most people participated in a day of fun, playing basketball at the State Basketball Centre. Alongside the Preps, Grades 3 & 4 enjoyed a fun week of swimming. Some kids even ran Districts for the first time.
Grade 5 classes went to Edinburgh College for a science experiment.
This term Grade 6 went to ADANAC camp in Yarra Junction. Everyone who went had a fun time, the water slides, flying fox and the gaga pit were highlights, we are all so thankful for the staff that made this happen.
Also, this term the whole Grade Six cohort went off to Lilydale High School for a sports and activities day. They competed against many other different schools.
This was a great, successful term and we can't wait for Term 3!
Thank you for reading about our awesome Term.
