Last Day of Year 12

Last Day of Year 12 celebrations

The Class of 2023 celebrated their last day of school with the traditional church service at Forest Street Uniting Church. Led by School Chaplain Rev. Karen Reid, the service was filled with gratitude as students thanked their parents and teachers for their educational journey.

Afterwards, the Year 12 students were bid farewell at a House Assembly, which included touching tributes through slideshows and farewell messages. The fun-filled festivities soon followed, featuring novelty games, food trucks, and competitive rounds of musical chairs and dodgeball. The graduating students were then interviewed, reflecting on their time at Girton.

Later, parents and special friends attended the Final Assembly, where Dr O'Rielly delivered a heartfelt speech about the lasting impact that this cohort has had on Girton, its students and staff. For those who wish to watch, the Final Assembly can be viewed online. The day was rounded off with a final walk through the school halls, accompanied by a guard of honour, and culminated with a performance of the School Song on the oval.

We are incredibly proud of this exceptional group and wish them success in their upcoming examinations. We eagerly anticipate reconnecting with them at the Valedictory Dinner.
