Foundation students are learning how to talk about their favourite animals in Mandarin. They have also learned about the Chinese zodiac stories. 

 

Year 1/2 students are learning essential vocabulary words and phrases associated with clothing and uniforms. They have practiced using these words in conversations, expressing the texture and colors of different clothes. They have also explored traditional costume Hanfu.

Students in Years 3-6 have focused on talking about weather and seasons in Mandarin. They have engaged in conversations and activities that involve discussing their favourite seasons and sharing their experiences.

 

 Additionally, this term, we've started the Mandarin Club, which meets every Wednesday during lunchtime. Students in the club are exposed to various aspects of Asian culture, including crafts and calligraphy, as well as food preparation.
