Mid Term 4 Update - Preparing for a Memorable Year-End
Greetings Collingwood College,
As we find ourselves at the midway point of Term 4, it's a great time to reflect on the fantastic achievements and activities that have filled our academic calendar. This is an especially momentous time for our Year 12 students, and I would like to take a moment to applaud them for their exceptional performance during the Graduation Ceremony. Their journey is far from over as they now dive into the culmination of their high school experience – final exams and assessments. We wish them the best of luck and success as they take on these significant challenges.
For the rest of our students, this time of year brings a sense of excitement and anticipation as we gear up for a plethora of events. From school camps and activity week for our secondary students to exciting excursions and engaging incursions, there is a wide array of experiences to look forward to. Additionally, our Year 10 and 11 students are eagerly participating in the Early Commencement Program (ECP), which provides a sneak peek into their future as Year 11 and 12 students.
In recent weeks, our leadership team has been hard at work, focusing on the scheduled school review. An interesting twist this year is our alignment with Fitzroy High School, which allows us to share a common focus. Furthermore, the Collingwood Alternative School (CAS) has played an integral role in this process, helping to define our strategic outcomes for the next three years.
We are excited to announce that on Monday, November 20th, we will be hosting online forums for parents, providing an invaluable opportunity to contribute their feedback on the terms of reference for the review. I kindly invite parents and guardians of both Collingwood College and Collingwood Alternative School to participate in these discussions. To ensure your participation, please register your interest by emailing us at Collingwood.co@education.vic.gov.au. If you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Thank you for your continued support and engagement. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to reconnect with you in our next newsletter, which will be arriving towards the end of Term 4.
Wishing you a wonderful continuation of the school year and a memorable year-end.
Warm regards,
Sam Luck
