Digital Technology
Spotlight: Year 5/6 Community
In Year 5/6, it's all about technology! Our students are on an exciting journey to understand what 'technology' really means. It's not just gadgets; it's a world of innovation.
Here are some of the student responses:
Technology is…
- Something that connects the real world to the digital world.
- A digital form of research
- Normally powered by electricity
- Must have a motherboard to function properly
- A device such as a laptop, ipad and phone has outputs and inputs
- A source of power where you can play for fun or learn.
- You can interact with people using a network of cables underground.
We've been hands-on, exploring digital systems in our classroom. From understanding how computers work to identifying inputs (like keyboards and touchscreens) and outputs (like screens and speakers), our students are uncovering the magic behind the tech we use daily.
Students then created Resumes pretending to be a particular input or output applying for a job.
This is just the start of our tech adventure. Stay tuned for more updates as our young tech detectives continue to unlock the secrets of the digital age.
