Student Well-being

The Year 1/2 Community

In Wellbeing, Year 1/2 have been learning how to be safe and kind online. We learned about our ‘digital footprint’ and how things we put on the internet stay there permanently. We sorted out things that are safe and unsafe to put online. Some examples of safe things are telling people the football team I barrack for or my favourite colour. Some unsafe things are saying my full name or my address.

We also learned that it is very important to be able to regulate our emotions when communicating and playing games online. We had to identify a negative emotion we might feel and identify strategies we can act out if we are feeling this way. Some examples are taking deep breaths, going for a walk, sitting in the calm corner or telling a teacher.

Check out some of our work below!
