News from Three/Four
WE LOVE THE LIBRARY
Once we master the skill of reading and learning to read, we then move to reading to learn. And reading for fun and enjoyment too. The three fours love the amazing library at St Joseph's. We have been learning to choose a 'just right' book for ourselves. One that isn't too easy or too hard, a book that we might learn from, or a book for enjoyment. Whatever our choice, it has to be a book that stretches our brains in just the right way.
Mathematics - Symmetry
Symmetry is like a special kind of balance that makes things look the same on both sides. When we look at something, and it has symmetry, it means one side is like a mirror image of the other.
For example, when you fold a paper in half, and both sides match, that's symmetry! Symmetry can be found in many things, like butterflies, flowers, and even our faces.
Learning about symmetry helps us understand shapes and patterns. It's important because it helps us create beautiful art, design things that work well, and even solve problems in math and science. Symmetry is all around us, and understanding it can make our world more interesting and organized!
THANK YOU
I want to thank EACH and EVERY student in 3 4S for their amazing effort toward production. They worked so hard on learning all their songs and dances. I was so happy to see how well they did on stage, there were some nerves beforehand but they all pulled it off so well. A great team of Duloc people, trees, birds, rats, and all sorts of characters. We couldn't have done it without the incredible Mrs Cooper supporting us all the way too. Fantastic show everyone, with memories to treasure for a lifetime.
