Oskar McGahan Makes North East Bushrangers Basketball Under 16 Team

Congratulations to Year 7 boy Oskar McGahan who has just been selected in the elite North East Bushrangers Basketball Under 16 program. Oskar and his Bushies "Gold" team will play in the state-wide Victorian Junior Basketball League, a State League competition running on Friday nights all around Victoria.This puts Oskar in the best 20 basketballers for his age group in the region, and will make him the first W.H.S student to play in the VJBL since current Year 7 girl Kaity Ford, who was part of the Under 14 Girls Bushrangers team last season. We also highlight Jack Ford and Tom Ford, who along with Oskar and sister Kaity have been part of the Wangaratta Warriors Representative Basketball teams this year. The quartet all played in a tournament in Geelong last weekend.Great to see our kids playing at such a high level in this great sport. We have a large number playing Basketball every break time on our 2 school outdoor Basketball courts, and we hope to see more getting involved in competition Basketball next year and beyond.
