Did you know, St Stephen's offers lessons on Woodwind, Brass, Percussion and String instruments?

Ms Kristy Braes has recently joined us and teaches all aspects of our Instrumental program, including running the Combined Saints Band. The Band rehearses on Wednesday afternoons, while lessons are held throughout the week, on a rotating timetable.

Mr Ian Lewerissa tutors students on Guitar and Bass Guitar on Wednesdays, and students learning these instruments are also invited to participate in the band or small ensembles.

The band recently performed at the Celebration of Excellence, where it impressed the audience with diverse tunes including; 'Never Gonna Give You Up' by Rick Astley, 'Trust in the Lord', and The National Anthem. The Band is currently preparing an exciting new repertoire for in-school and community performances in 2024.
