Nicholas Recognised with Order of Australia Association Secondary School Citizenship Award

Nicholas Brammer was one of only 12 students in Queensland to be awarded a prestigious Order of Australia Association Queensland Branch Secondary School Citizenship Award this year!

Nicholas received his award from The Honourable Paul de Jersey AC CVO KC at a special ceremony held at Queensland Parliament House.

Nicholas is the first student from St Stephen's to receive this award which recognises his participation in social service activities, community service, leadership and character.

Nicholas has been a great role model to fellow students this year and we hope that he has inspired our younger students and upcoming leaders to get involved with community service, citizenship and volunteering.

Everyone can contribute to making the world a better place! Congratulations Nicholas.

FNQ Interschool Mountain Bike Comp!

Ms Desaunois accompanied Cooper Rankine and Yannick Hensen to the final round of the FNQ Interschool Mountain Bike event at Smithfield Mountain Bike Park.  At present St Stephen's is in 9th place with Holy Cross. There are a total of 14 schools participating.  Well done boys.

We also thank PBH Studio for sharing the following photos of Yannick and Cooper, as well as a photo of Ms Desaunois! Can you spot Ms Desaunois on the track?

Students Excel at Queensland Championships!

St Stephen's student, Cooper Rossberg, travelled to Brisbane with the Peninsula 13 - 19 years Track and Field Team earlier in October to participate in the Queensland Championships at QSAC (Queensland Sports and Athletics Centre).

Cooper competed in both triple jump and long jump, and while he didn't secure a place he did get 2 PBs for both events. We congratulate Cooper on being selected for this team and for his efforts in pushing beyond his previous records!

Sam and Emma Raciti also participated, with some great results!

Sam came 1st in Hammer, 7th in Discus with a new PB, and 12th in Shot Put.

Emma came 2nd in Hammer with a competition PB, 7th in Discus and 8th in Shot Put. Emma was also selected as a Team Captain.

It is great to see our students excelling at this level of competition!

Max Attends Ju Jitsu Seminar in NSW

As part of the North Queensland Ju Jitsu Academy Inc, Max De Lai attended the National Australian Ju Jitsu Seminar in NSW along with Shihan Gavin and several other club members.

This allowed the team to experience new and different techniques and some challenging sparring!

We wish Max all the best as he progresses with his sport, and look forward to hearing more about his future achievements.
