Science Fair
We are excited to announce the return of our Holy Rosary whole-school Science Fair, held in celebration of National Science Week (9–17 August). All students from Prep to Year 6 are invited to explore their scientific interests and submit a project. The Science Fair will take place in the school hall on Tuesday, 12 August, from 8:30–9:30am and 3:00–5:00pm. Projects are due by 9am, Monday, 11 August. Please return the expression of interest form to the school office, attached to this newsletter, by 25 July.
Since 2017, our Science Fair has showcased student creativity and curiosity, supported by enthusiastic families. This year’s theme is Decoding the Universe, but students may choose any topic that sparks their interest—from biology to robotics.
Projects will be grouped by year levels and can fall under categories such as Experimental Inquiry, Model Construction or STEM Innovations. All participants will receive a certificate and the opportunity to share their discoveries with our school community.
For comprehensive information, please refer to the Operoo note that was made available to all families in Week 10 of Term 2. Any other queries can be directed to Maria, Sarah or Ant.
