Principal's News

Dear Families,
Welcome back to Term 3! I hope the holidays provided you with time for rest, family and fun. We’re excited to be back and look forward to another term of growth, learning and connection.
This term is always a busy one, filled with meaningful learning opportunities, special events and our continued focus on the wellbeing of every student. As always, we value your partnership and look forward to working together to support your child to thrive.
We warmly welcome Henry and his family to HR. Henry came to visit Gemma and Year 1/2N in the last week of Term 2 and has happily settled into school today.
Megan’s Baby
Congratulations to Megan and Dave whose beautiful daughter Lola was born on Monday 16th June weighing 3.2kg. They are enjoying precious family time and special newborn cuddles. We wish Lola a lifetime of love, joy and wonderful memories.
Prep 2026
I have now had the joy of meeting all the Prep 2026 children in our ‘Meet and Greet’ sessions and acceptance letters have been sent to families. Later this term, we will host families and children for an afternoon play session. Letters will be sent in the next week outlining details of our orientation program.
Holiday Update
Over the holidays MACSeye came into school to set up the OSHC space. They are now operational and ready to care for your children. The enrolment process is included in the newsletter.
We had some additional painting and electrical work done over the holidays. This included the installation of security lighting and painting of the seat at the front gate, the office toilet, the senior stair handrails and walls.
Student Free Day
I remind you that Friday 15 August is a student free day. Staff will gather on this day for professional learning in spelling.
Leaving Holy Rosary?
Please advise the office if your P-Yr 5 child will not be continuing at HR next year. This helps us to organise class structures and staffing so your advance notice is much appreciated.
Have a wonderful week
Christine
