Co-curricular - Senior Sport

I hope that students, families and staff all enjoyed a lovely break.
From the Head of Rugby
A huge congratulations to the following students who played representative Rugby for the ISA Opens - James Kelly and Dominic Whelan.
ISA Seconds U16s - Hamish Malone, Angus Dillon, Charlie Savoca and Ayden Bova and ISA U16s Firsts - Alexander Stewart.
We would also like to congratulate Hamish Malone and Alex Stewart on their further success in gaining selection for NSW Schools. This was thoroughly deserved as both boys performed very well throughout the NSW Schools Championship over the first weekend of the school holidays. They played two games and were successful in both, defeating Sydney City and NSW Country. Well done, gentlemen. Congratulations on your achievements!
ISA/CAS Crossover
This week we commence the ISA/CAS Crossover against Waverley. It is going to be a big three weeks of Rugby, and a challenge that we will embrace and meet head on.

Football
During the holidays, we hosted St Aloysius’ College’s First and Second XI teams for some holiday football. Our Second XI got us off to a great start with a strong 4-0 win. The First XI began a little flat in the first half, but after the interval, they came out with greater purpose and aggression. Their combinations improved as the game went on, and they too came away with a convincing 4-0 victory. Pictured below are the two First squads after their fixture. Well done to all involved.
A huge congratulations are in order for Football Captain Alessandro Piccin, who has been selected to represent NSW All Schools at the 2025 School Sport Australia Football Championship. This is an incredible achievement and could not have happened to a kinder and more deserving young man.
Basketball - First V High Performance - Expression of Interest
In Weeks 2–4, there will be First V pre-season training from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM on Monday mornings. This is not a compulsory part of trials, it is encouraged that any boy looking to trial or looking to improve their Basketball skills come along and start preparing for the upcoming season. Anyone interested in attending, please contact First V Coach Hayden - hserrao11@gmail.com.
Holiday Action
While on holidays in Italy, the Crisafulli brothers reached out to a few local clubs and were invited to train with the Vasto Basketball Club U17 Team that competes in the Seria B competition. From all reports, it was a great experience for both boys, demonstrating their commitment to improving their skills, even when on holiday.
