Co-curricular

After a well-earned midyear pause, I hope every member of the St Patrick’s community returns refreshed and ready for the term ahead.

During the third week of the break, I was introduced to the proud service tradition at St Patrick’s, spending a few hours over two evenings serving dinner alongside a small group of Year 11 students at the Matthew Talbot Hostel. Seeing the boys putting faith into action was a pleasant reminder of why our service program sits at the heart of College life.

On the sporting front, the Winter representative season produced several impressive performances. Congratulations to the many boys who pulled on ISA or NSW jerseys in Football and Rugby—your hard work and humility have been a credit to the blue, black and gold. Closer to home, our footballers relished hosting St Aloysius’ College in a couple of spirited friendly fixtures, while the Rugby students prepared in camp for the upcoming ISA/CAS combined competition, which begins this week.

Meanwhile, our musicians wasted no time in returning to rehearsal rooms this week, preparing for the performance calendar that lies ahead. Not to be outdone, Theatresports auditions begin shortly. I look forward to watching the program flourish this term.

Best of luck to all in the coming weeks as the Co-curricular Schedule restarts.
