Information for Dance Performance

Dance Performance -August 7th 2025

We are excited to share that our students have been working hard this term in Performing Arts, with a focus on Dance as part of the curriculum. To celebrate their learning, we will be holding a Dance Concert to showcase their skills and routines developed this term.

There will be two performances of the concert to ensure that all families have the opportunity to enjoy the show. While students will perform in both concerts, we kindly ask that families attend only one performance.

● Date: 7th August, 2025

● Time: 5:30 and 7 pm

● Venue: St. Fidelis School, Hawthorn Street

Arrangements for the concert night

Students are to be dropped off by 5:15pm for a 5:30pm start at the black gates entrance to the Senior Learning Area. Please ensure your child brings a drink bottle and a snack with them for the evening.

Parking in Saunders Street Important Information

Thank you for parking safely and responsibly. Your attention to proper parking helps keep our spaces accessible and ensures the safety of everyone. We appreciate your cooperation and commitment to a safer environment.

Reminder: Drop-Off Zone Procedures

A reminder to all families that the area outside the school on Saunders Street near the playground is a designated Drop-Off Zone only. Please kiss and drop, do not park or remain in the area to chat with others, as this causes congestion and prevents other families from safely dropping off their children.

We appreciate your cooperation in keeping this area safe and accessible for everyone.

STEMMAD @ St Fidelis - Thurs Aug 14

Year 5/6

Why we value STEMMAD at St Fidelis

At St Fidelis, we value STEM-MAD (Making a Difference) because it nurtures creativity, critical thinking, and real world problem solving. By integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, the Arts, and Design, we empower students to be innovative, collaborative, and future-ready learners.

This week, we’re proud to be hosting our own STEMMAD Showcase right here at St Fidelis hall.  Four other schools will be joining us, and our judging panel includes Ryan Evans ( experienced Digitech and STEM teacher, incursion facilitator and presenter – and ‘that guy from LEGO Masters')  Shelly Waldon (Science & STEM Lead at Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools) & Joanne Knights (Business Development Manager/STEM trainer/LEGO certified trainer for MTA). We’re hopeful that, like last year, some of our students may be selected to represent at the national level.

Please note that MACS is not running the event this year, so we’ve taken the lead in providing this exciting opportunity for our students and others in our local network.

Parents are invited to join us between 11:00am and 1:00pm to see our next generation of inspiring young inventors in action.
