Principal Team's Message

Nurture.  Innovate.  Celebrate.

Dear Students, Parents, Carers and Families,

Launch of our New Website

We are excited to share that Maramba Primary School has launched a brand new website! Designed in-house by our very own talented staff member, Jaclyn Phoon, the new site offers a fresh, modern look and is much easier to navigate. It reflects our vibrant school community and provides quick access to important information, updates, and resources for families.

I encourage you to explore the new website and stay connected with everything happening at Maramba. A big thank you to Nancy Walker and a former parent, Annette, for taking the promotional photos and to Jaclyn for her creativity, hard work, and dedication in bringing this project to life! Take a look and let us know of any feedback.

Foundation Celebrate 100 Days of School!

On Friday, July 25th, our Foundation students marked a special milestone -100 days of school!

To celebrate, students took part in a range of fun and engaging activities, including:

  • Counting 100 Fruit Loops
  • Creating a picture using the digits in the number 100
  • Drawing and writing about their favourite memories from the past 100 days

It was a joyful day filled with creativity, learning, and reflection. Well done to our Foundation students on reaching this exciting milestone!

Swimming

This week students in Year 1-6 had the opportunity to complete school swimming lessons at Casey Arc.

School swimming programs are an important part of learning water safety and building confidence in and around water. They help students develop essential life skills, improve fitness, and promote teamwork. Learning to swim at school ensures all children have access to these vital skills.

Students who did not attend swimming lessons completed water safety lessons at school.

Commitment to Child Safety and Zero Tolerance for Racism!

Maramba Primary School is a child safe organisation that welcomes all children, young people, and their families. We have zero tolerance for child abuse and take proactive steps to prevent harm. We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive environment where every student feels valued, heard, and respected, irrespective of their background. Racism is not tolerated.

Racism harms students’ mental health, learning and sense of belonging. We celebrate the diversity of cultures, ethnicities and faiths of all our students. It is up to all of us at Maramba Primary School to make our school a place that is free of racism and where everyone feels respected and can learn in a safe and inclusive environment.

Concerns are taken seriously and addressed swiftly. We prioritise the safety needs of all students, especially those from diverse backgrounds and those experiencing vulnerability.

If your child experiences or witnesses child safety concerns, racism or religious discrimination at school, please let us know by contacting the school office on 03 9796 7150. Child safety is everyone’s responsibility, and we work in partnership with our community to uphold the highest standards of care and protection.

Welcome Our New Staff Members

This term, we are excited to welcome two new members to the Maramba Primary School team. Leanne will be supporting students in Year 1 and Year 3, bringing her enthusiasm and care to the classroom. Stacey has joined us as our new Business Manager and will be working in the school office.

Please make them feel welcome with a friendly hello and a big smile when you see them around the school!

Maramba 2026

As we finalise student numbers for 2026 and begin workforce planning for the new school year, we kindly ask families to inform us if their child will not be returning to Maramba Primary School next year.

While we have welcomed many new enrolment enquiries for 2026, we understand that some families may be relocating. We thank these families for their support and partnership throughout their time with us, and we wish their children every success in the future.

If your child will be departing Maramba, please follow the process below:

  1. Notify the school office of your child’s last day and the name of their new school.

  2. Complete and return the Student Exit Form.

Thank you for your support in helping us plan effectively for 2026.
