Assistant Principal - Curriculum

Term 3 Parent Teacher Conferences

Term 3 Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on Tuesday, 12 August (3:30 pm - 5:00 pm) and Wednesday, 13 August (3:30pm -7:30pm). Conferences will be conducted onsite and in-person in your child's classroom.

Parent Teacher Conferences are a wonderful opportunity for parents and teachers to come together to celebrate the growth and achievements of individual students. It enables teachers to give a detailed insight on the learning behaviours and needs of students and set goals with parents for the remainder of the year. Parent Teacher Conferences are a meaningful and valuable tool to strengthen the relationship between school and home for the betterment of our students.

Please book your Parent Teacher Conference via Compass. Bookings will open on Monday, 28 July at 9:00 am and close on Friday, 8 August at 3:00pm.

Holiday Works

During the recent term break, a number of works were undertaken throughout the school.

These included:

  • 5 new in-wall toilet cisterns and button assemblies were installed throughout the school replacing old toilet hardware
  • A number of roofing, downpipe and drainage repairs
  • Emergency lighting repairs and upgrades
  • Gutter and roof cleaning
  • Synthetic turf repairs and maintenance
  • Repairs to our fire hose and hydrant systems
  • Deep cleaning of all toilet facilities
  • End of term cleaning of all school areas

Dale and I have also been working with the Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) and have pleasingly had our School Maintenance Plan endorsed for the next 5 year period. This means we will receive additional funding and support through the Planned Maintenance Program to address high priority issues such as switchboard upgrades, roof leaks, structural movement of buildings and drainage issues.

We look forward to meeting with our allocated project officer in the near future to develop a scope of works and begin this exciting opportunity to further improve our buildings and grounds.

Kind regards,

Mr Brendan Garvey
