Happy Guidance Week 2025 to all Guidance Officers & Counsellors in Queensland.

Between the 4th May to 9th of May we celebrate Guidance Officer Week!

It's a chance to recognise our school Guidance Officers' incredible work in supporting our students' academic, personal, and social well-being.

The Gap State High School is well-supported by our Guidance Officers and team of specialists, and we all recognise their familiar faces:

Guidance officers are a resource for students. They provide a safe and confidential space for students to discuss challenges they may be facing and to seek support with education concerns, career pathways, personal development, mental health and overall wellbeing.

This week is a time to join in the celebrations and acknowledge the vital work of Guidance Officers at TGSHS.

Come and celebrate by attending:

  • ‘Ask a GO’ lunch session Tuesday 6th May in the QUAD
  • Guidance Officer Kahoot Wednesday 7th May in EL32.
  • Pancake breakfast from 8am Thursday 8th May in the Wellbeing Hub #2.
