Ms Gouri Sharma - Deputy Principal Year 11
Welcome back! We hope you and your families had a restful and enjoyable break. As we step into Term 2, we’re excited to reconnect with our students and continue building on the fantastic learning and growth we witnessed in Term 1.
This term promises to be full of opportunities, challenges, and exciting milestones. From upcoming excursions, camps and school events to new learning units across all year levels, there’s so much to look forward to. Our dedicated staff have been busy preparing engaging lessons and experiences designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking in every student.
Term 1 Report Cards
As Term 1 report cards have now been sent home, we encourage you to take some time with your child to reflect on their progress so far. Celebrating achievements—no matter how big or small—can build confidence and motivation, while identifying areas for improvement helps set meaningful goals for Term 2. Encourage your student to think about ways they can improve their learning habits and classroom behaviour—whether it’s staying more organised, asking more questions, or managing time effectively. One powerful step is reminding students that it's okay to ask for help. Seeking support from their teachers—whether for feedback, clarification, or extra guidance—shows initiative and a willingness to grow. These steps not only support academic progress but also help build important life skills. Promoting self-reflection and goal setting empowers students to take ownership of their learning and strive for continuous growth.
Parent Teacher Interviews
Our first Parent Teacher interviews and students -led conference will be held on Tuesday 6th May starting at 2 pm. The purpose of the conference is leading effective, growth-focused parent-teacher interviews during the interim reporting period. It helps ensure that conversations centre on student learning progress, reflection, and future improvements, rather than solely on summative results.
On Tuesday 6th May students will be dismissed at the end of period 3 (12.50 pm).
