Towards the end of Term 1, we took our senior Art Making and Exhibiting students to view the state top Victorian students from 2024 who were selected to be part of the 2025 Top Arts Exhibition. Our students had an opportunity to attend a lecture where they were given an opportunity to see how past students think deeply about the directions for their artworks and how their inspirations guided them to become creative using new/old technology.
Following this student then were given an opportunity to view students’ folios which allowed them to fully understand the expectations of the work required to receive a high ranking and participation for the exhibition. Our students finally had the opportunity to view the exhibition which always allows them to further think about their own final artworks and how they can produce visually and deep-thinking artworks.
Please enjoy the photos.

Our Year 10 Visual Communication Design students have been working hard in class learning how to create logos, fliers and business cards using digital drawing methods. They were given six fictional cafe names to choose from. After researching and developing different possible design ideas, they were introduced to graphic editing software such as the Australian company Procreate or Adobe Illustrator to draw their final design. This was the first time most of the class had used such programs. As you can see, they created some very professional-looking original final designs.
