PE & Sports Update

Wheelchair Basketball
On Wednesday the 14th of May, Level 5 & 6 had a fun time attending wheelchair basketball, it was a lot different than we expected!
All the classes had a go at being in a wheelchair and learning different skills.
We learned how to move around in the chairs and participated in a variety of activities. Some of the drills we did included basic training drills, races, and a big basketball match at the end. Some people crashed into each other, but thankfully there were no injuries!
The instructors, Andrea and Ash, were very kind. They had a lot of experience and made everything fun.
A big thank you to Andrea and Ash for coming out to Jells Park Primary School, we all had the best experience!
Even though it was tricky, we still got to experience how it feels to be in a wheelchair and gained a better understanding of what life might be like for people who use them. We also felt inspired thinking about those who have faced challenges in their lives but continue to chase their goals and follow their dreams with a positive outlook.
Thank you to Mr Jenkins for organising the whole day, it was amazing!
