Prep's Adventures: Exploring Our Community and Counting Down to 100!
What a busy and exciting few weeks it has been in Prep! Our little learners have been embracing their curiosity and becoming inquirers as they explore the world around them, both inside and outside the classroom.
A huge highlight has been our local walks! Our prep students have truly embodied the balanced learner profile as they enjoy the fresh air and engage with our neighbourhood. These walks are a fantastic way to develop their observation skills, learn about road safety, and even practise their counting as we spot different objects. From spotting colourful flowers to counting lampposts, every walk is an adventure!
Speaking of counting, the excitement is building as we embark on our official countdown to 100 Days of Prep! This milestone is such a fantastic opportunity for our students to celebrate their progress and see how much they have grown since their first day. We are incorporating "100" into various activities, reinforcing their numeracy skills in a fun and engaging way. Get ready for some fantastic 100-day celebrations coming your way in Term 3!
In our literacy lessons, our prep students are blossoming into confident communicators. They have been incredibly proud to learn about making their own books, understanding how stories are structured. And the biggest leap? Many of our young authors are now starting to write their own sentences! Seeing their ideas come to life on paper is truly wonderful, and it’s a testament to their hard work and growing independence.
We are so proud of the enthusiasm and dedication our prep students show every day. Keep an eye out for more exciting updates as we continue our learning journey together!
