Not Your Average Joe Musical

Set in 1959, Not Your Average Joe tells the story of Joseph groovier than ever before! Joe and his family run Papa Jake's Fries and Shakes, but Joe spends most of his time sleeping on the job. Finally sick of his antics, Joe's siblings ship him to Pharoah's Point, where he learns how to live the beach bro lifestyle from a groovy crew of surfer dudes and meets the self-appointed king of the beach, Kahuna. With some help from a new friend, Joe learns how to trust God with the unknown and eventually forgive his siblings, just like God forgave us. When a storm hits the beach, it's up to Joe to bring the community together and save the beach. Hang loose and don't forget your boardies, because summer is about to begin!
Who is involved: The whole school – so ALL students from Foundation to Year 6.

Foundation Families
Important information has gone home via email today to all Foundation familes regarding additional considerations for participation in the musical. Please read this carefully.
Performance times
Listed below are the performance dates and times for this year. Please add them to your diary. All performances will be held at Futures South Church, Old Reynella.
- Wednesday 2nd July, 6.30pm
- Thursday 3rd July, 6.30pm
All students are encouraged to be at each performance and we appreciate the effort of families to rearrange commitments to enable this to occur. Please let your child's teacher know as soon as possible if there is any reason your child will not be able to attend a performance.
Dress Rehearsal
There will be a whole school musical rehearsal at Futures Church on Wednesday 2nd July. All students will be bused to the venue and parent consent will be required for this day. Please see the Compass Events notification that you will receive toda to give your consent for your child to attend.
