Community and Family Engagement

Mother's Day
Mother's Day will be celebrated next week at school with our Mother's Day stall on Thursday 8th May and our Celebration Morning on Friday 9th May.
We are still on the hunt for some more prizes for our Mother's Day treasure hunt, so if you or your business can donate something suitable, please contact Kristie at kristie.hocking@smcmeppingnth.catholic.edu.au
It would be great to have a couple more volunteers at the stall on Thursday 8th May - setting up, serving students at the gift tables, replenishing stock and packing up.
8.15 to 10.00am. Please get in touch if you can assist at any of these times.
Our Mother's Day morning will be from 8.45-9.45am on Friday 9th May. Visitors are asked to make their way to their youngest child's homegroup and older siblings will meet them there.
We will begin the day with a prayer and story together and then families will be free to move around the school and try different activities.
Shop for Your School
This year SMCM will be participating in Pacific Epping's Shop for your School campaign. We will be in the running for $50,000!
More information on how to participate will be shared on Seesaw, Instagram and Facebook.
Starting on Monday 5th May, every dollar you spend at Pacific Epping can go towards our school's total. Families will download an app and then upload the receipt of any purchases made from Pacific Epping in the campaign period. How easy is that? Just do your normal shopping and you can contribute to our school winning!
Prep 50 Days of School Celebration
On Tuesday 7th May our Prep students will celebrate 50 days of school! You might see them dressed a little differently that day as learn and celebrate the significance of 50 days being half way to 100! Be sure to congratulate any Preps you see that day!
National Walk Safely to School Day
Friday 16th May is National Walk Safely to School Day. Students and their families are encouraged to walk to school or park your car further away than usual and walk the rest of the way! You can meet your teachers at one of the four local parks at 8:30 am and travel together to school. Collect your stamp or sticker to show your active participation as you enter the gate!
