Enrolments Foundation 2026

It's time for families to start thinking about enrolling their children in Foundation for the 2026 school year.

We are offering school tours for prospective 2026 Foundation parents on Monday, Thursday, and Friday mornings. We warmly welcome both new and existing families to come and explore our school.

A quick guide to the enrolment process is available on our website:

Enrolling at HEPS

Open Night - Tonight

A reminder HEPS will celebrate Education Week tonight with an Open Night, Bake Stall & Book Fair from 6:00–7:30 PM. All parents and members of the school community are invited to attend. There will also be an information session for 2026 Foundation parents from 5:15–6:00 PM in FSO.

Curriculum Day - Professional Learning

On Friday, staff took part in an engaging and inspiring professional learning session led by Simon Brooks, focused on Cultures of Thinking. This approach encourages students to become curious, creative, and independent learners. Rather than focusing solely on content, Cultures of Thinking helps teachers create classroom environments where thinking is visible, valued, and actively promoted. The skills developed through this approach not only enhance academic achievement but also support lifelong skills such as problem-solving, collaboration, and critical and creative thinking. Teachers were highly engaged throughout the session and are looking forward to applying some of these practical strategies in their classrooms.

Capital Works

We are excited to share that progress on our new building is tracking well, with completion anticipated around October. To give you a glimpse of what’s to come, we’ve included some images that showcase what the exterior of the building is expected to look like. We look forward to sharing more updates with you as the project continues to take shape.

Cross Country

A few weeks ago, we had the HEPS Cross Country which was a great success with perfect weather. Everyone tried their best and showed great determination and sportsmanship. Well done to all participants! Congratulations to the top 10 finishers in each age group who will now progress to the District level on Tuesday, 20th of May.

Somers Camp

Our Year 5/6 students had a fantastic time at Somers Camp! Over the course of nine days, they took part in a range of exciting outdoor activities that built teamwork, confidence, and independence. From hiking and high ropes to beach games and group challenges, it was a memorable experience full of fun, adventure, and valuable learning.

Mothers Day Stall

A big thank you to all the wonderful HEPS parents for supporting our Mother’s Day Stall! We are especially grateful to the Parents Association for their hard work  and

organisation, which provided a fantastic range of gifts for the children to choose from.

Mother's Day Breakfast

Thank you to all the wonderful mothers and special friends who joined us for our Mother’s Day Breakfast—it was fantastic to see so many of you there, enjoying the morning and celebrating the strong sense of community at HEPS. A special thank you to those who also participated in the classroom activities; the students loved sharing their learning with you. Finally, a big thank you to TeamKids for generously providing breakfast for our school—it was very much appreciated.

Movie Night

Join us for a fun-filled Movie Night at HEPS on Saturday 24th May! This event is one of our key school fundraisers and promises to be a great evening for families.
