Level 4

Reading

We have continued to link our Reading lesson with our Inquiry topic of Ethics and Fairness, researching a famous activist. Some examples include Adam Goodes, Eddie Mabo and Martin Luther King. We are aiming to have our mini project finished by Open Night so make sure you come and see our work!

Writing and Inquiry

After spending the first few weeks learning about persuasive devices such as rhetorical questions, the rule of three and emotive language, we have started to put these into action. Our topics are trying to persuade our readers and include ethical dilemmas we have been facing in Inquiry, such as, 'Is it OK to put dog poo into someone else's bin?' and 'Can I keep the $20 note I found on the ground?' or 'Should teachers bribe students?'. There have been many heated, yet respectful discussions happening in our classrooms!

Cross Country

We are so super proud of all of our students for putting maximum effort into the House Cross Country event. Regardless of whether we came first or not - it was about being part of a house, cheering on our friends and showing ourselves that we can do hard things! Special congratulations to those students who are progressing to District Cross Country on Tuesday 20th May.

Mother's Day

We were so excited to welcome mothers and special people into our classrooms last week. It is always lovely to have you and we hope you enjoyed the special time with your children. Fingers crossed you were all treated to a day of pampering, a sleep in and zero sibling arguments last Sunday!!
