Student Voice &
Positive Environment
At our school, students are more than just learners—they’re leaders, creators, and change-makers. Student voice and agency means having the power to speak up, make decisions, and take action in shaping our school experience. This is exactly what our school leaders and SRC have been doing this term.
Our SRC has been busy preparing for our annual Multicultural Week celebrations to occur on the 4th-8th of August. It will be an amazing week of celebrating the various cultures of our college. The SRC has also been working hard to ensure they work with year level class leaders to ensure the collective voice of all students is heard. Some members of the SRC will also be involved in consultation around our school uniform.
Students have been busy in the second half of term completing the Attitude to School survey and PIVOT surveys to provide feedback to teachers on their teaching and learning practices. The college will use the feedback from both surveys to take proactive steps in improving students experience at the college.
Finally, our college Interact Club recently ran a fundraiser to support the organisation Sharing Hope, which is an organisation in Myanmar who support Karen refugees and displaced communities through community led relief, education and community development. Led by one of our students Sofia, the college raised an amazing $1140.40. Thank you to all involved and the support given for this worthy organisation.
