Year 7

As Term 2 comes to a close, we want to celebrate the incredible journey our year 7 students have made so far in their first year of secondary school. From navigating new routines to forging new friendships, this term has been one of growth, exploration, and achievement.
By now, our Year 7's have well and truly found their feet! We’ve seen students grow in confidence, take on challenges with resilience, and show real enthusiasm in every aspect of school life. Whether it’s been tackling tricky maths concepts, writing creative stories, or experimenting in science labs, our students have embraced learning with energy and curiosity.
Term 2 offered a wide range of co-curricular activities and events, and Year 7s were right at the heart of the action. From cross country and the Wyndham Tech School excursion to Healthy Minds and Wellbeing Day, students had so many opportunities to try new things and connect with peers.
One of the most rewarding parts of this term has been watching friendships continue to grow and the Year 7 community grow stronger. Our focus on our school values of Respect, Co-operation and Excellence continues to build a supportive and inclusive environment for everyone.
We’re incredibly proud of the way Year 7 students have approached their first two terms of high school. As we head into the break, we encourage all students to take a well-earned rest and reflect on everything they’ve achieved.
Term 3 promises more adventures, more learning, and more chances to shine. We can’t wait to see what the next chapter holds for our amazing Year 7's!
Have a safe, relaxing and happy holiday break!

Year Level Leader's Report - Year 7
This term has been an exciting and action-packed journey for our Year 7 students as they continue to embrace new experiences and challenges with enthusiasm and positivity. From athletic achievements to academic milestones and community contributions, our youngest cohort has truly made the most of every opportunity.
One of the major highlights was the cross-country event, where students pushed themselves physically and showed fantastic spirit. For many, it was their first time competing in a year level wide race, and their perseverance and support for one another were truly inspiring.
Another significant first was the experience of sitting formal exams. Our Year 7's approached this new academic challenge with maturity and focus, taking it as a valuable learning experience. The resilience they showed during revision and exam week set a great foundation for their future academic journey.
We also celebrated Wellbeing Day, Healthy Minds Program and International Yoga Day, which provided a chance to reflect on mental health, mindfulness, and the importance of taking care of ourselves and each other. Students engaged in a range of activities that promoted self-awareness, connection, and balance – vital skills for both school and life beyond.
Finally, our Year 7's have demonstrated a strong sense of compassion and social responsibility through their involvement in our Refugee Week fundraiser, showing support for our broader community. Whether it was raising money for Sharing Hope or contributing to School-Wide lessons, they’ve shown that even small actions can make a big difference.
I am incredibly proud of the way our Year 7's have embraced these new experiences. Their enthusiasm, kindness, and willingness to get involved have truly made this term a memorable one. We look forward to seeing what they’ll achieve next!
Have a lovely term break.
