Week 4 - How to Represent our School

There are lots of students going on camps and excursions. Students can represent their school on excursions and camps in various ways, demonstrating respect, safety and pride in their school. Here are some ways students can effectively represent their school:

  1. Following our GREAT expectations
  2. Wearing our school uniform
  3. Engaging in activities and discussions
  4. Showing teamwork
  5. Displaying a positive attitude
  6. Respecting diversity and different points of view

By embodying these behaviours and attitudes, students can effectively represent their school on excursions and camps.

Starting the Conversation...

Questions to start conversations with your child about school.

  • What makes you feel good about yourself when you’re at school?
  • What’s something you like about being in school?
  • What are you most excited to do this term?
  • What did you do today that made your brain work really hard?
  • Tell me something you know today that you didn't know yesterday.

Uniforms

Please continue to ensure your children wear the full school uniform. If you are unable to find a school jumper at home please have your child check the lost property box. It continues to over flow. We will provide students with a jumper for the day if they cannot find theirs. The Student Code of Conduct contains information about our Unifom Policy.

Respectful Relationships Education (RRE)

The Bring Up Respect campaign, a joint Australian, state and territory government initiative, aims to help families and communities to build respectful relationships. From a young age, boys and girls start to believe there are reasons and situations that make disrespectful behaviour acceptable. We do our best to set a good example, but sometimes, without meaning to, we might say things that excuse disrespectful behaviour in young people. For more information you can access  Bring Up Respect here.

Term 3 is a lot quieter as far as school sport goes, but I am looking forward to the Junior Athletics Fun Day in Week 10. As the term progresses P-2 students will be working hard to prepare for this event. I am looking forward to the students displaying their skills to the community on Friday of Week 10.
