POSITIVE BEHAVIOUR AT SACRED HEART

WHAT IS A POSITIVE BEHAVIOUR CURRICULUM?

A positive behaviour curriculum is a whole-school focus that promotes positive behaviour across the school and helps ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.

Recently our school leadership wellbeing team have been participating in professional learning with Tom Bennett. Tom Bennett Training offers several effective programmes to improve behaviour management both at a classroom and a whole-school level. The training aims to improve the knowledge and skills of both leadership and teaching staff in schools, enabling them to design, build and maintain an optimal culture of positive behaviour.

The next phase of our journey is to work with staff to implement our own behaviour curriculum at Sacred Heart that aligns with our Ways of Being together and school values and vision.

We look forward to sharing more with you as our work evolves in this space.

BULLYING NO WAY

Next week is the Bullying No Way National week of action. The theme for this year is 'Everyone Belongs'. When we all feel like we belong, bullying struggles to find a place. It's about embracing who we are, respecting everyone's differences and standing up together against unkindness. Belonging means we all have a role in preventing bullying. We're encouraged to speak up and create a safe place where everyone feels supported and respected, and our voices are heard and valued.

To help demonstrate our commitment to fight against bullying we are inviting Sacred Heart students to wear something purple on Thursday 15th August. It's important that we all stand together to fight bullying!
