ASC P&C CANTEEN ASSISTANT CASUAL/PERMANENT PART TIME
POSITION VACANT
Armidale Secondary College P&C operate the canteen every school day throughout the school year.
Armidale Secondary College is a Department of Education High School in Armidale N.S.W with a current enrolment of approximately 1100 students. Our P&C operated canteen is run by our Canteen manager whose team delivers healthy and nutritious options for staff and students.
We are seeking a motivated, honest and independent Canteen Assistant to join our team on a casual six month trial period (two days per week between 10.00am and 2.00pm) which may potentially lead to a permanent part-time position, with the added option of extra hours where needed to cover catering events and staff in need of time off. Each week would be equivalent to eight hours and wages will be paid in accordance with the Fast Food Industry Award [MA000003] Level 1.
To be considered for this position you must meet the following criteria.
Have experience working in a fast paced commercial kitchen environment and be a team player willing to answer to the Canteen Manager.
Be familiar with and use safe food handling procedures and be willing to complete a safe food handling qualification.
Be aware of P&C financial operations with the capacity to open and close the Canteen on occasions and balance registers as required.
Launder Canteen linens if required.

-NSW Drivers Licence
-Full Covid 19 Vaccination

- Prior experience working in a commercial kitchen or canteen environment
- Senior First Aid Certificate (or be willing to obtain)
- Valid Food Safety Certificate (or be willing to obtain)
