DIOCESAN ATHLETICS CARNIVAL

WHAT A TEAM!
WHAT A TEAM!

What a fabulous day we had last Friday at the Armidale Diocesan Athletics Carnival held in Tamworth. A team of 18 athletes represented St Joey's with pride in a variety of track and field events. Our students not only ran, threw and jumped their very best but were also the best supporters present on the day by far. I wish to congratulate all students on their efforts on and off the track as excellent ambassadors of our school. A special congratulations to the following students who achieved excellent results on friday in their events and qualified for the NSWCPS Athletics carnival for Polding selection to be held in Newcastle next month.

Ryder Hird - 3rd - Junior Boy Discus

Hendrix O'Loughlin - 1st - Junior Boy Shot Put.

Daniella Cortis - 1st 11yr long jump, 2nd 11yr discus, 2nd 100m final. Dani also achieved 11yr Girl Runner Up overall.

Ricky Hird - 2nd Senior Boy High Jump, 2nd Senior Boy Discus.

Some excellent shots taken on the day!
