Esmee Kerkhof (Year 8) attended the ANZAC Day schools service at Dingley Village and recited John McCrae's poem 'In Flanders Fields' in Flemish and English.

Five local primary schools attended, including Dingley Primary where Esmee was a School Captain in Year 6. The students and staff were delighted to see Esmee and experience her important contribution to the proceedings.

During the April school holidays tennis player Kana Tamura (Year 8) took to the court in tournaments on two different surfaces in two different states. On grass at Swan Hill and playing up an age level, Kana won the 16U singles title and with her partner Piper was runner-up in the doubles event. Then it was on to Canberra to compete in the Australian Claycourt Championships against the top 32 players from across the country in the U14 age grop. The high level of competition was an opportunity to develop her game and build resistence. Congratulations Kana. We look forward to following your progress.

Our congratulations to Jordyn Dobbyn (Class of 2024) on her recent graduation from the Richmond Institute with a Diploma of Sport and a Diploma in Leadership & Management.

This dual Diploma is delivered through Richmond Football Club’s partnership with Swinburne University of Technology. The program is aimed at developing the next generation of leaders within the sports industry and combines theory, practical and hands-on learning with a focus on real world skills and knowledge. Students learn how to enhance athlete performance, manage people and teams, and become leaders.

Courses like this one year diploma are often taken by graduating students looking for an alternative to directly entering a three year university Bachelor Degree and prefer the option of a shorter commitment to further studies.
