John XXIII Netball Club
Welcome to the 2024 Winter Netball Season. We are looking forward to a fabulous year ahead.
John XXIII Netball Club is an inclusive Club that welcomes players of all abilities.
Our club's philosophy is to encourage participation while striving for excellence. Emphasis is placed on having fun while remaining competitive.
Games are played at Matthews' Netball Centre on Saturdays for Years 5 to12, Thursday and Friday afternoons for Years 2 to 4.

Secondary School Registrations
Registration for secondary students is now closed.
Grading
Grading begins this weekend on the netball courts at John XXIII College. Grading dates and times change each week, so please read the schedule carefully. Grading is compulsory for all Secondary School students. Players are expected to attend all of their grading sessions.
- Please wear your John XXIII College Sports uniform
- Arrive 10 minutes early to be checked in.
- No Jewellery
- Nails are to be short and smooth
- Hair is to be tied back off your face
- Bring a water bottle
We are running on a very tight schedule this weekend. Players who are late may miss their time on the court.

Pre-season fitness
Pre-season fitness is an optional fitness based program not a netball skills program. It is highly recommended to get players prepared for their grading sessions over the next few weeks.
There is no registration; just show up and sign in on the day. Fitness is held on the oval under the netball courts.

Training
Training is at John XXIII College on the courts next to E block (Year 7).
Training is compulsory and times are:

Training begins on 19 and 21 March, 2024.
Primary training will be advised by the coach.
Primary School Students
We welcome all John XXIII College Primary School students from Years 2 to Years 6 to play for John XXIII Netball Club.
Registration are now open and will close on 24 February. Registration will close early if all places in a year group are filled.

Years 5 and 6 grading will be held on Thursday 14 March from 3:30pm-5:00pm.
Refund Policy
Withdrawals must be received by Thursday 7 March 2024 to be eligible for a refund.
A $25 grading fee will be deducted from all secondary school refunds.
A $5 finance administration fee will be deducted from all primary school refunds.
Refunds for the Netball Australia and Netball WA portion of the fees will be reimbursed directly by Netball WA, less administration fees and charges.
NetSetGo refunds will have the cost of the promotional pack deducted from the refund by Netball Australia.
Umpires
Umpire trials and mentoring will be held at grading. New umpires must have completed the PNA umpire holiday course. Please send a copy of your certificate with your expression of interest to Mary Majok, our Umpire Coordinator at johnxxiiicnc.umpire@gmail.com.

Our policies on Refunds, Code of Conduct, Trials and Selection, Grading, and Conduct and Discipline can be found on the Policies page of our website. All members must agree to adhere to all of our policies.
Fees
The fees charged reflect the actual expense of PNA registration and game fees, umpires, game day equipment, training and first aid equipment and coaches for Years 7 - 12.
KidSport vouchers are welcome at John XXIII Netball Club: if you qualify, please contact us so we can assist you with your registration. More information can be found on the Dept of Rec & Sport website.
