PFA Updates

Nadine Power, PFA President

Term 1 CSR Meeting

Firstly, thank you to all 44 Class Social Reps (CSRs) for volunteering to support their cohort throughout 2024! This is a record-breaking number of CSRs and our community will be richer for it.

Secondly, thank you to all the CSRs who were able to make the four CSR meetings we've had so far in 2024.  We appreciate you for raising your hands to bring even more social opportunities to connect! Thank you also for sharing your ideas and the fabulous social events you've already got planned.

Here's a little sneak peek of last week's ELC Daintree Packer Park play date.

ELC and Junior School Picnic

We look forward to welcoming all our ELC and Junior School families to The Green on Friday 15 March from 5.00 to 7.00pm for a special picnic.

It’s a great opportunity to catch up with friends and make some new ones! The PFA will be hosting a complimentary sausage sizzle. BYO drinks, snacks, picnic, rug/chairs and hats.

Please RSVP for the picnic here

We still need some volunteers to help out with the PFA BBQ, so if you can spare just 30 mins, we'd be very grateful. You can sign up to help here

Senior School House Athletics

The Senior School House Athletics will take place on Tuesday 19 March at Duncan Mackinnon Reserve.

The PFA will be running a pop-up canteen on the day, providing drinks, snacks, and a sausage sizzle for the students to purchase. This is always a fun event to be involved in and is much-appreciated by the hungry and thirsty athletes.

If you're able to help out by buying snacks and drinks ahead of the day, setting up at Duncan Mackinnon Reserve, or serving students in a range of shifts from 9.00am to 1.00pm, we'd be incredibly grateful. We need volunteers to make this magic happen.

So please sign up here and chip in for that one to two hours of contribution for the year!  Also, not to worry if your availability overlaps the times that we've listed.

Thanks in advance, and if you have any questions, please contact Nadine Power via npower1616@gmail.com.

Term 2 Kilvington Craft Social Dates

The Kilvington Craft Group will meet on the following dates in Term 2 to create, chat, laugh and enjoy cake and coffee together.

  • Monday 20 May 7.00 - 9.00pm
  • Saturday 1 June 2.00 - 4.00pm

If you'd like to join the group, please contact Eleri via elerim@gmail.com or 0419 425 805 with any questions and for location details.

SHUS

The next opening of SHUS will be on Saturday 16 March from 9.00 to 11.00am in Dalton Hall.

This will be the last opening before we head into Term 2 where winter uniforms will be required. If you need winter garments, the wonderful SHUS team will be available to help you access everything you need. Please note no consignment items will be accepted.

We're also always looking for more volunteers to assist in the running of SHUS. Please sign up here to register your interest and we'll be in touch.

Kilvington Cares Program

Thanks so much to the many families who've made delicious meals for those in need within our community. Please remember to reach out to Bianca Lapins lapinsb@kilvington.vic.edu.au or Janet Woodlock woodlockj@kilvington.vic.edu.au if you'd like to confidentially nominate a family in need.

If you'd like to jump on board and cook a meal, please register your interest here.
