The HIVE – Grand opening parent tours

Bianca Lapins, Community Relations Officer

If you haven’t yet had the opportunity to check out The HIVE and are curious about what’s inside, book yourself onto a parent tour from 4.00 to 5.00pm on Wednesday 27 March 2024.

All tours will depart from The Green and guests will be offered a celebratory drink prior to the commencement of the tours.

Please register your attendance here. We look forward to seeing you there.

Reminder – dropping off and picking up around the School

Please be respectful of our local and School community when parking/dropping off/picking up at and around the School.

This includes not parking in School driveways, across crossings, across residents’ driveways, on nature strips and in No Standing and restricted areas. Recently, we have received complaints from local residents who have been unable to enter their properties due to parents’ cars blocking access.

Please be mindful of parents waiting to drop off their children in the various zones around the School.

If you could drop your children off as quickly as possible and move on, regardless  of the time allowed, it will help reduce the level of congestion around the School and frustration experienced by waiting parents.

For parents of Senior School students, we ask that you consider parking or dropping them off from nearby streets to walk the short distance to School.

Parents who are using the 25 minute parking areas to escort their children into primary school, please vacate the area once your child is safely dropped off.

Collection notice - 2024 student residential addresses

The Australian Government Department of Education has notified the School that they have requested your child’s residential address and other information.

Under the Australian Education Regulations 2023, the School is required to provide the department with the following information about each student at the school:

  • names and residential addresses of the student’s parent(s) and/or guardian(s)
  • student residential address (excluding student names)
  • whether the student is a primary or secondary student (education level)
  • whether the student is boarding or a day student (boarding status).

Please find all the information in the attachment below.

Camps, sports and  excursions fund (CSEF)

CSEF is provided by the Victorian Government to assist eligible families to cover the costs of school trips, camps and sporting activities. If you hold a valid means-tested concession card or are a temporary foster parent, you may be eligible for CSEF (see attached flyer).

Families who received this funding last year don’t need to reapply as they automatically continue to receive it in 2024. For more information, please contact Belinda Collins via collinsb@kilvington.vic.edu.au.
