Absences
All absences need to be entered on Compass with a reason for the absence (medical, holiday, illness etc). All schools are required to contact parents/guardians as soon as practicable when student absence is unexplained. To assist with this process, we ask parents to enter the absence on Compass before 9am. If you are experiencing any difficulties with Compass, please contact the school.
Collecting your child early / arriving late
If you are collecting your child early, they need to be signed out at the office before they are collected from the classroom. If your child arrives after 9:00am you will need to go via the office and sign your child in before going to the classroom.
Parent contacts
It is vital we have up to date phone numbers for families. In emergency situations and if your child is sick, it is crucial we can contact you easily. If you have changed your phone number or emergency contacts, please contact the office and update these. It is also important we have up to date information regarding current family circumstances (each parent at an alternative address will need to provide separate details).
Personal goods brought to school at owner's risk
Personal property is often brought to school by students, staff, and visitors. This can include mobile phones, smart watches, electronic games, calculators, toys, musical instruments, sporting equipment, and cars parked on school premises. The Department does not hold insurance for personal property brought to schools and it has no capacity to pay for any loss or damage to such property.
Annual privacy reminder for our school community
Our school collects and uses student and parent personal information for standard school functions or where permitted by law, as stated in the Schools’ Privacy Policy and the Schools’ Privacy Collection Notice.
Our Photographing, Filming and Recording Students Policy describes how we collect and use photographs, video and recordings of students. The policy also explains when parent consent is required and how it can be provided and withdrawn.
