Lunchtime Clubs
Clubs are a great way for new students to make friends from across the school, and especially great for Year 7’s to make friends who come from different primary schools.
Sign-up sheets are located at the library desk.
This year we have 3 new lunchtime clubs starting in our school library.
- Horse Talk - for students to meet others who own/ride horses, to talk about what they are doing, share stories, videos etc and hopefully make friends they may be able to meet up with outside of school.
- Auslan Club – for students who would like to learn Australian Sign Language or want to practice what they already know.
- Philosophy Club – Thought provoking interesting stimulus each week to discuss. Students will also be able to bring along their own issues and questions to discuss.
We will continue with the clubs from last year (though days and locations of some clubs are changing).
- Creative Writing Club – a group of budding writers, who share their own work and do a range of short, fun writing tasks
- Book Club – discusses books and movies/series based on books
- Craft Club – learn to knit or crochet and work on your own projects or start new ones.
- Midweek Mindfulness (Colouring) – colouring and chatting in a supportive environment.
- Dungeons & Dragons – imaginative adventure game played in teams. Join an existing team or get help to create your own.
- Board & Card Games – want to play but don’t have anyone to play with - join a group on the day.
- Pride Club – LGBTIQA students and their allies
- Pokemon and Yugioh – card game
