Week One - Tennis
This week in PE, students are learning all about Tennis. We are focusing on:
- Grip, stance, scoring and rules of the game, and the skills of forehand, backhand, volley and serve.
The Year Three to Year Six students will continue focusing on tennis until Week Five, and will have an opportunity to utilise the local tennis courts. So please make sure you have your local walk permission forms completed by today, Friday 9th of February.
To add to the tennis fun, we are lucky enough to have Guccione Tennis coaches Chris and Anthony from Doutta Galla tennis club give our students lessons over the next few weeks. These lessons will be filled with fun games, learning tennis skills and being involved in discussions about tennis. If your child is interested in playing tennis the opportunity to attend an open day is coming up at Doutta Galla Tennis Club in Royal Ave, Essendon North, this Sunday the 11th of February. Please see the flyer that was sent home this week below.
