Random Acts of Kindness Day

Spreading kindness one bookmark at a time

Students who attend Rochester Secondary College's weekly Art Club are spreading kindness to people to mark Random Acts of Kindness Day. 

Students have created bookmarks using watercolour overlaid with drawing media. The reverse of each bookmark features a quote promoting kindness. 

'The bookmarks are a great opportunity for young people to do something for someone they'll never meet.' Principal, Matthew Koutroubas said. 

'The act of gifting a small moment of joy to someone else aligns with our school values. We appreciate the support of the library staff in facilitating this community connection.' 

Staff at the Rochester branch of Campaspe Library will be handing out the bookmarks to borrowers in the days leading up to Random Acts of Kindness Day on Saturday 17 February. 

‘I know the library patrons love a good bookmark!’ Rochester Branch Librarian, Natalie Lonsdale said.
