School Council Nominations

Nominations are now called for to be part of the 2024 Rochester Secondary College School Council. There are three parent positions, one DET employee member and two student positions open. The parent positions are tenured for 2 years, with student positions being offered for 1 year. All parents and students, whether experienced in this or not, are invited to nominate themselves. Nomination forms are available from the front Office of Rochester Secondary College.

Nominations close on at 4.00pm on 29th February 2024. If a ballot is needed to finalise the council for 2023 this will be conducted with the ballot closing on Monday 7th March.

I encourage all members of the college community to consider this as a way to contribute to the life and future direction of the college.

Why join Rochester Secondary College School Council?

Being on school council is a great way to get involved and have a real say in what our school is doing for our students.

One of the roles of school council is to help set the future direction for our school.

Many school councillors have also found that their children have a greater sense of belonging within the school.

Following the closing of nominations a list of the nominations received will be posted at the school.
