Team Introduction - Middles 

To parents and carers, 

We would like to present you to the middle school teachers. Here is a little synopsis of each of us and our favourite pastimes while we're not teaching.

Lian lives with their partner, toddler, cranky kelpie and two guineapigs in Preston. They like reading, dinosaurs and reading about dinosaurs. This is their fourth year at BNWPS.

Hi there, I’m Kate Middleton, but you don’t need to curtsy when you see me around the school. I am teaching part time (Monday and Wednesday), sharing class RK with Becc. When I’m not at school, I’m busy curating my second-hand, country-market, book-stall, playing tennis, writing or reading. I volunteer for a charity (Big Group Hug), tutor kids in the afternoons and look after my ten-year-old, crazy/lazy cat Claude.

Hi there, I'm Lori.

I have been a teacher at BNWP for a long time, working with students in all grade levels. Aside from teaching, I like to create art, go to galleries, go boating, and hike in the bush.

Hi everyone, 

My name is Shalani Marasinghe and I have been a teacher at BNWPS since 2013. I have had a few different roles over the years but now I’m excited to be a part of the Grade 3/4 teaching team this year. 

A few thing about me:

I have a two and a half year old who is going on 13! I love getting away on the weekends when I can, especially to a quiet beach. I love experimenting in my garden with different plants and see if they’re tough enough to survive our family and our garden!

Hi, I’m Rebecca and I teach in Unit RK with Kate. I’m in the classroom on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, the rest of my week is spent with my two daughters, Ruby (4) and Pearl (2). Outside of school I enjoy reading and going on adventures with my family.
