The 3/4's have completed their gingerbread house ornaments and these will be sold at the Wishing Tree Stall. The students are very excited about these and have asked if they can buy the ornament they created. Last week the students were introduced to a new abstract artist who uses concentric shapes with warm and cool colours. They enjoyed tracing various sized circles and experimenting with different colour combinations. The 3/4’s have also been working on their mini art folders, and their work will be coming home soon.

Art Supplies

We are already looking ahead to the 2026 Art Show and need some interesting supplies. If you happen to have any used, ready to throw away paint brushes like the ones in the photo, can you please send them along to the Art Room? If we get enough supplies, we will be creating some fun characters with recycled materials. Thank you to those who have already dropped some off to the Art Room.

Yesterday we held our annual Willy Games, one of the most exciting whole-school events of the year. Students threw themselves into every activity, showing fantastic sportsmanship and team spirit throughout the day.

The winning house for the 2025 Willy Games will be announced at our final assembly, along with this year’s overall House Cup champions. Congratulations to every student for their effort and energy — it was a brilliant way to finish the year.

A Final Message for 2025

Thank you to all students, staff, and families for your wonderful support of PE and Sport throughout 2025. Our Willy Kids have tackled every challenge with positivity and resilience, and it has been a privilege to watch them grow in confidence, skill, and teamwork across the year.

Wishing everyone a safe, fun, and active holiday break. I look forward to another fantastic year of PE and Sport in 2026!

Warm regards,

LOTE - French

Merci & Au revoir

To my dear Willy Primary Kids, what a joy it has been to see you all come through the French classroom over the last 6 years! We have learned so much about French culture, language, history and geography. But, best of all, I have loved all your inquiries and curiosity which often took us in directions I hadn’t planned myself – that is true learning!

As I follow my teaching journey to another school in the new year, I trust you will all carry along with you the wonderful times spent together and that your now strong international mindset and open-mindedness will take you many places across the globe in the future. That is my wish for you!

In true Willy Kid spirit, there is no better testimony to the wonderful culture of kindness that we have instilled in our students than a group of Year 1 boys bringing paper fans to me last week, while on duty on a hot day… ‘ONCE A WILLY KID, ALWAYS A WILLY KID!’.
