Spotlight on Learning - Oak

This year, our InitiaLit program has helped most of our oak students improve their phonics skills. It’s been wonderful to see their reading skills grow and their confidence soar. In maths, students have been learning about things like whole numbers, adding strategies, making groups, telling time, and measuring. Hands-on activities have made these topics fun and easier to understand, and we’ve noticed our students are feeling more confident.

We’re also excited about our gymnastics program through SISA, which has given students a chance to learn new gymnastic skills and feel proud of what they can do. It’s been a great way for them to stay active and build confidence in their physical abilities.

It’s been a busy term for Oak with lots of events and activities, and we’re proud of how involved and enthusiastic our students have been. We’re looking forward to greater learning ahead!
