Thank You Morning Tea

We want to express our gratitude to the amazing Chatswood Public School community for your generous contributions towards our students, staff, and parents - and for this, our staff are hosting a thank you morning tea for our community. A big thank you to the Scripture and Ethics Teachers, as well as the P&C. We are very thankful to all the parents, caregivers, grandparents, and community members who provide invaluable support to our students every day. It truly takes a village to nurture our students, and we are incredibly fortunate to have such a wonderful village.

Ryan's Round Up - Here's the Dirt

Excitement buzzed through the school this week as one of our very own used his highly trained detective skills to solve a wild mystery!

It all began when Ryan noticed a series of strange conical holes scattered around the garden beds. Intrigued, he inspected the area closely and made a surprising discovery: bandicoot scat! With his curiosity piqued, Ryan sprang into action, determined to uncover the secret visitor’s identity.

Next, our delightful naturalist Chris contacted wildlife experts at a local university. They were just as eager as we were to investigate! The team came out armed with state-of-the-art motion-activated cameras, discreetly setting them up around the garden area where Ryan had found the clues.

The next day, with much anticipation and bated breath, the footage was analysed, and the results were thrilling: a long-nosed bandicoot had been caught on camera, happily lurking and foraging in our very own schoolyard!

Our school has always cherished its connection to nature, but now we have a special bandicoot friend to remind us of the wild wonders just beyond the classroom. Keep your eyes peeled, you never know what adventures await right outside our doors!
