Dear Parents and Carers,
As we wrap up the year, we are incredibly proud of the growth we’ve seen across the Secondary Sub-School. Our students have shown wonderful progress academically, but also in their personal and social development. Their confidence, independence, and resilience have truly shone.
This year brought many opportunities for students to practise travel skills, explore the community, and enjoy excursions and incursions linked to the curriculum. These experiences created moments of joy, learning, and memories we hope they’ll treasure.
A special highlight was our Year 12 Graduation last week. It was a beautiful celebration of our students’ achievements and a chance to wish them well as they move forward and continue to follow their dreams.
We are confident all Secondary students have had a year filled with learning and growth. With Transition Week beginning next week, students are excited to meet their new teachers, connect with their peers, and step into their 2026 classrooms with confidence.
This work truly takes a village, and we want to acknowledge everyone who has supported our students this year. Our Learning Specialist Karla for her incredible work on social skills and sexual health; our Mental Health Practitioner Stacie for her innovative Adventure Club that motivated and captured student’ interests; Occupational Therapist Kevin for his incredible support and leadership of the Playground Buddy Program; Speech Therapist and Team Leader Amanda for her guidance and advocacy; our specialist teachers Will (PE) and Arnya (Art); and all of our dedicated teachers and education support staff who bring care, patience, and heart to our school every day.
Thank you to our families, students, and staff for a wonderful year. We look forward to everything the new year will bring.
ROOM 19
The year 2025 has been one filled with challenges, growth, and countless rewards.
Throughout this journey, we have learned together, grown together, and shared many unforgettable experiences. Standing before us now are confident, mature, and wonderfully unique individuals—you.
This year, you learned to appreciate each other’s differences and to embrace them with kindness.
You learned how to listen—not necessarily to agree, but to respect.
You learned to express yourselves with courage, while also opening your hearts to hear others’ ideas.
All of these moments of growth make me incredibly proud of you.
We have also created so many special memories together:
our visit to Scienceworks, our exploration of creativity at ACMI, and our wonderful underwater adventure at SEA LIFE.
Through these experiences, you discovered that even when things don’t go exactly as planned, there is always more than one solution. You learned that some things are beyond our control—yet accepting them is also a kind of strength.
Thank you, each one of you, for this amazing year.
Because of you, 2025 has been truly extraordinary, and we are deeply grateful.
May you continue to move forward with the same courage, kindness, and curiosity that you showed this year.
